Hi, what are you looking for?

DS

The Next Zelda: New Clues

While I was out looking for anything newsworthy to put in a newswire, I noticed earthbounding had some new information…

New Clues

What we learn from this video:

–There could be a playable demo of Spirit Tracks at E3 this year, confirming a recent rumor.
–Another rumor concerned an Ocarina of Time Wiimake, with an announcement supposedly on the way tomorrow. It turns out this was an April Fool’s prank.
–He then reassures us that there are actually two Zelda games in the pipeline: New Zelda and Spirit Tracks
–In an interview with Famitsu, Miyamoto said that both Zelda and Mario are being worked on.
–Spirit Tracks could have DSi-exclusive stuff, but it’s possible this too is an April Fool’s joke; Spirit Tracks would still be playable on a normal DS if this is true.
–In an interview with MTV concerning Spirit Tracks, Reggie said that Spirit Traks is not the official title–the true name of the game is yet to be announced. He has played the game a little and enjoyed it, some stylus aspects from Phantom Hourglass return in Spirit Tracks. When asked if planes could make an appearance in the Zeldaverse, Reggie replied something to the effect of “Ask Aonuma, not me.”
–Breaking down the Spirit Tracks trailer: Graphics are better than Phantom Hourglass, possibly takes place in Hyrule after the flood, changing tracks and the train’s whistle will be stylus controlled
–At one point, you can see a castle…possibly Hyrule Castle or a dungeon?
–Dungeon controls are identical to Phantom Hourglass, Link uses a clover-esque item that seems to be a combo of Minish Cap’s Gust Jar, Wind Waker’s Deku Leaf, and a boomerang.
–Phantoms return–some can be controlled with the stylus, odd whistle appears to be a way to call the Phantoms back to you
–Zelda returns, but some think it is Tetra–is Link in the castle throne room?

Stay tuned for more information as I find it.

Happy gaming,
SparklingBlue
