The Next Zelda: The True Picture Revealed

After posting the picture from New Zelda Wii and a breakdown of it, I knew a video from earthbounding wasn’t far away, so in lieu of a serial (again), here it is….

The True Picture Revealed

What we learn:

–In a post E3 interview with the press, Miyamoto said that the Zelda team was very aware that Zelda needed new ideas.
–He also said that New Zelda Wii is pretty far along in development, but it will likely be released next year, if not later. That doesn’t rule out the chance of a trailer appearing this year, however.
–The Zelda team has been discussing ways to keep the franchise going and keeping it fresh
–It is possible New Zelda Wii could need Wii Motion Plus to be played
–If Wii Motion Plus is used, the bow would be the most likely choice, but how would it work with a sword?
–Wii Motion Plus usage could lead to a “first person” Zelda.
–In an interview with IGN, Miyamoto said that he wants to appeal to everyone in a game, not separate into the core vs. the casual
–He went on to say that this is yet another new Link, and that in the picture, he isn’t holding a sword. (So how does that affect the timeline theory I have?)
–Since New Zelda is exclusively on the Wii, then that means the graphics will look even better
–On the Spirit Tracks front, it was revealed that four players can play as opposed to Phantom Hourglass’ two.
–Spirit Tracks is set 100 years after Phantom Hourglass. (which likely means another new Link)
–The picture of Link and the “being”, not the one of Link in a cave, is the true New Zelda Wii picture, as I’ve posted in the newswire today.
–That said, what is the being with Link in said picture? Many (myself included) think the being is the Master Sword in living form. (or a spirit inside it)
–Knowing this, the plot of New Zelda Wii will likely revolve around the Master Sword and this being. In fact, the Master Sword could be able to turn into this being and back again–and even be playable!
–This could shed some light on the backstory of the Master Sword, which no other Zelda game has revealed before.
–The design of the shield in the picture implies that it is a Hylian Shield, but is the game set in Hyrule or not? That is unknown at this time.

Stay tuned for more information as I find it.

Happy gaming,
