Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Coming to North America in 2012

Namco Bandai America has announced the localization of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch for North America. The PS3 exclusive is a collaboration between Japanese developer Level-5 (Professor Layton, Dragon Quest VIII and IX) and anime powerhouse Studio Ghibli (Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro).

“We are very honored to be working with the talented Studio Ghibli and Hisaishi-san on this game,” said Akihiro Hino, president and CEO of LEVEL-5 Inc. “It is very exciting for us to bring the best of Japanese anime and video game cultures together, and also to bring it to players in Europe and America. We hope you will enjoy it.”

The story features a boy named Oliver who sets out on an adventure to become a master magician and revive his dead mother from Ni no Kuni, a parallel world. In this adventure, Oliver will encounter many enemies and learn magic spells to ultimately encounter and survive against the White Witch. Ni no Kuni: The White Witch is scheduled for release in 2012 for the Playstation 3.
