New “Pro Controller” Announced for Wii U

Nintendo announced the Wii U Pro Controller today, which resmesbles current generation standard console controllers.

The Wii U Pro Controller, which was announced during Nintendo’s pre-E3 show, comes with dual analog sicks, face and trigger buttons. The Pro Controller’s layout is very similar to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 controllers.

Nitendo did not announce a release date or price point for the Pro controller.

The Wii controllers are also compatiable with the Wii U, according to Satoru Iwata, President of Nitendo, who made the announcements during the pre-E3 show.
