Breath of the Wild 2 Finally Arrives Next Year

To cap-off their E3 presentation, Nintendo gave players a new look at the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. A number of new mechanics were spotted in the trailer, from a liquid power that allows Link to travel through surfaces to sky-based exploration that’s somewhat reminiscent of Skyward Sword. Nintendo has stated that you will be able to explore the skies of Hyrule, so we’ll assumedly see how that works in future trailers. We also received a release window of 2022.

Though not much is known about the story so far, it seems to have a darker tone than the original. In the new trailer, Hyrule castle can be seen being hoisted by dark tendrils, implying not all is well in Hyrule.

It’s not gonna be calle BotW 2. This nonsense has been going on since Ocarina of Time. Majora’s Mask was called Ocarina of time 2 before release. Twilight Princess was Wind Waker 2. Skyward Sword was Twilight Princess 2.

It’s NOT BotW 2,despite being a sequel. Just say the next Zelda, or something.
