Valhalla can wait—vengeance comes first. To celebrate International Viking Day, Tripwire Presents and developer Arctic Hazard have released a bloody new trailer for NORSE: Oath of Blood, a newly renamed turn-based tactical RPG coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2025.
The new trailer dives into the game’s harsh world of betrayal and bloodshed, following the young warrior Gunnar as he seeks to avenge his slain father and reclaim his rightful place. Previously announced under a different name, NORSE: Oath of Blood now carries a title that better reflects its grim, honor-bound journey through Viking-age Norway.
A Gritty Tactical Viking Epic
Set in the rugged terrain of dark age Scandinavia, NORSE: Oath of Blood blends tactical, turn-based combat with deep settlement building, political maneuvering, and a branching narrative written by Sunday Times bestselling author Giles Kristian. Players will lead Gunnar as he rallies allies, builds a village from scratch, and leads his warband into deadly skirmishes against rival clans and treacherous foes.
