Chorus Worldwide has released a brand-new V2 demo for Coffee Talk Tokyo, providing fans with the most comprehensive look yet at the next standalone entry in the beloved narrative series. Available now on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox, the updated demo includes the full Day 1, a sneak peek at Day 2, the debut of new characters, and expanded localization with support for nine languages.

A Nintendo Switch demo is also planned for release at a later date, ensuring that baristas across all platforms can step behind the counter and start brewing.

Brewing Conversations in Tokyo

Set against the neon-lit nights of Japan’s capital, Coffee Talk Tokyo places players once again in the role of a late-night barista, serving up drinks while guiding heartfelt conversations between humans and fantastical beings. The updated demo introduces Kenji, a retired kappa salaryman, Vin, the barista’s assistant, and Ayame, a socialite navigating her afterlife.

As in previous entries, drinks are more than just refreshments; they can shape moods, open new story paths, and change how characters connect.

What’s New in the Demo

The V2 demo isn’t just a replay of the first build; it delivers a larger slice of the story, plus new mechanics and enhancements. Players can now use sprinkle stencils to personalize latte art before refining with milk and etching, adding extra charm to each crafted cup. Meanwhile, the new Tomodachill social feed allows players to peek into the lives of their customers outside the café, offering context and opportunities to forge deeper bonds.

In addition, the game’s atmosphere has been reimagined with a Tokyo summer setting, blending modern cityscapes with traditional aesthetics. And of course, the signature lo-fi soundtrack by Andrew “AJ” Jeremy returns, with brand-new chill beats to set the mood.

Expanded Language Support

One of the biggest upgrades in this demo is the addition of full localization across nine languages: English, Japanese, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean. This expansion opens Coffee Talk Tokyo to a truly global audience, ensuring players everywhere can cozy up with a cup and enjoy the stories unfolding at the café.

Availability

The Coffee Talk Tokyo V2 demo is free to download now on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox. Players can download the demo on their preferred platform and start brewing today. The full release date has yet to be announced, but this demo offers a flavorful first sip of what’s next for the series.
