Revolution Software has officially unveiled Broken Sword – The Smoking Mirror: Reforged, a substantially enhanced, 4K reimagining of the beloved 1997 point-and-click adventure classic. Following the success of Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged in 2024, this remaster once again aims to modernize a genre-defining adventure for both longtime fans and new players.
In development for PC (Windows, Mac, Linux) and consoles including PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, the game is set to launch in early 2026.
A Classic Sequel, Reimagined in 4K
The Smoking Mirror remains one of the most beloved entries in Revolution’s long-running series, known for its captivating mystery steeped in ancient Mayan myth and archaeological intrigue. Players once again step into the shoes of American tourist George Stobbart and French journalist Nico Collard as they unravel a conspiracy involving cursed artifacts, sinister cults, and deadly secrets hidden across the globe.
