IO Interactive is celebrating 25 years of Hitman in style with a slate of new content, events, and special editions. To mark the anniversary of its iconic stealth franchise, the studio has released the Hitman World of Assassination 25th Anniversary Box, a PlayStation 5-exclusive physical edition, alongside new in-game content, special livestreams, and deep discounts across the series.

This premium edition includes:
- A collectible shadowbox and lenticular art card

Bruce Lee Joins as a Special Elusive Target
In one of the franchise’s most unexpected collaborations yet, martial arts icon Bruce Lee joins Hitman World of Assassination in a limited-time Elusive Target mission, available through November 20.
Players will partner with Lee to hunt down “The Dragon,” a mission that blends high-octane combat and stealth precision. IOI will also roll out updates later this month, including a reduced Arcade mode cooldown timer (now 30 minutes instead of 12 hours).
The Bruce Lee DLC Pack, available until November 20, grants permanent access to the mission, a new outfit, three unique weapons, and Freelancer Safehouse cosmetics inspired by the event.
Franchise Sale, VR Update, and Mobile Expansion
Fans can celebrate the anniversary with up to 90% off select Hitman titles on Steam, making it a perfect time to revisit Agent 47’s world.
In addition, Hitman World of Assassination recently launched a major PC VR update, introducing features from the PS VR2 version, including dual-wielding, ambidextrous controls, and full room-scale support. Players who already own the game on PC can access VR mode for free.
The experience is also expanding to mobile: Hitman World of Assassination is now available on iPhone and iPad, complete with every mission, location, and Freelancer mode. The mobile version will be discounted by 40% from October 21–27 on the Apple Store.
Livestream, Comic Con Panel, and More
The celebrations continue with a special 25th Anniversary Livestream on October 21 on the official Hitman Twitch channel, featuring surprise guests and retrospectives on 25 years of creative assassination.
Fans attending Comic Con Denmark can also join a developer panel on November 16, featuring IO Interactive veterans sharing stories and behind-the-scenes insights from the series’ evolution.
In 2026, IO Interactive’s reach will extend beyond screens with BAFTA Games in Concert on January 31 at London’s Royal Festival Hall, featuring live orchestral performances including Jesper Kyd’s Hitman Contracts score.
Finally, the studio teased Hitman: The Board Game, developed with Mood Publishing, alongside Hitman: Absolution’s new mobile release on iOS and Android via Feral Interactive.
