Serenity Forge (Fractured Blooms, Bad End Theater, To the Moon) today announced Puppergeist, a rhythm visual novel about the unconditional love our pets give us both in life and beyond. Revealed during the ID@Xbox October Showcase, the game will release for Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox PC.
Explore the Doggie Underworld
In Puppergeist, players follow Claire, a young witch who ventures into the Doggie Underworld in search of her beloved lost pup. Along the way, she encounters a host of canine spirits, each with their own story of loyalty, friendship, and heartbreak. Guided by her mischievous demon companion, Lunne, Claire must help these lost souls find peace through rhythm-based mini-games that tie music, memory, and emotion together.
Inspired by the whimsical mechanics of the Rhythm Heaven series, Puppergeist uses accessible rhythm challenges to move its story forward. Every track introduces a new gameplay twist and heartfelt moment, featuring charming animations, remixes, and bonus content that make every encounter feel special.
Created with Love — and a Bit of Magic
Developed in-house by Serenity Forge, Puppergeist features creative direction and art by NomnomNami, the creator of Bad End Theater. The game will also feature music from a lineup of talented contributors, including Kris Wilson, co-creator of Cyanide & Happiness, as well as other guest composers yet to be announced.
The result is a touching musical celebration of our pets’ unconditional love, blending emotional storytelling, rhythmic gameplay, and irresistible canine charm.
