Mega Man: Dual Override Revealed at Game Awards

One of the biggest announcements from last night’s Game Awards came from Capcom, with the reveal of Mega Man: Dual Override.

The announcement came in the form of a trailer, which gave us glimpses at the familiar side-scrolling gameplay fans are accustomed to, with the titular character and his enemies once again being presented as 3D models.

Additionally, Capcom is holding a special boss design contest for the upcoming game, giving fans a chance at getting their own design for one of Dr. Wily’s villainous Robot Masters into Dual Override. More details on the contest and the game itself can be found on its official website.

Take a look at the Mega Man: Dual Override reveal trailer on YouTube below:

Described as the twelfth mainline entry in the iconic Mega Man series, Mega Man: Dual Override is the latest installment since 2018’s Mega Man 11, meaning it will have been nearly ten years between games by the time the newest entry debuts.

When will Mega Man: Dual Override be released?

Mega Man: Dual Override currently doesn’t have a specific release date, though it does have a release window. As of the game’s announcement, it’s planned to release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC in 2027.
