Digital Extremes has revealed Warframe: Jade Shadows – Constellations, a new narrative chapter launching free on all platforms in June. The announcement arrived with an anime-inspired animated short created in collaboration with metal band ERRA and animation studio THE LINE.
Directed by Louve Sarfati Karnas alongside Warframe Creative Director Rebecca Ford, the short introduces the next stage of Warframe’s ongoing story.
A New Story Focused on Rival Timelines
Jade Shadows: Constellations continues the story of the Stalker and his child, with players seeing different outcomes depending on earlier choices. The narrative centers on two possible futures, represented by Sirius and Orion, that collide in the present and fight for survival.
The new quest builds on that conflict, pushing the story forward while tying into Warframe’s wider lore.
New Missions, Protoframes, and Updates
Alongside the story content, the update introduces a new Railjack region, Uranus Proxima, which expands post-quest missions and encounters.
Players will also meet new Protoframes, including:
- Ryoku (Ash), focused on stealth and control
- Vena (Garuda), built around aggressive combat
Completing the quest allows players to unlock one of these Protoframes as a Railjack crew member.
Event Return and Gameplay Changes
The update also brings back the Operation: Belly of the Beast clan event, running from May 4 through June 1 with returning and new rewards.
Additional updates include:
- A rework for Nidus, aimed at improving survivability
- New cosmetics, including a deluxe skin for Dante
