Goblin Vyke: The Thief Tycoon will launch on April 30, 2026, for PC via Steam, developer Art Thieves and co-publisher Gamersky Games announced.
The 2D side-scrolling game blends stealth heist gameplay, shop management, and Metroidvania-style progression, putting players in the role of Vyke, a goblin thief who steals treasures from dungeons at night and sells them for profit by day.
Steal by night, sell by day
In Goblin Vyke: The Thief Tycoon, players infiltrate dungeons to steal loot, avoid enemies, and survive traps before returning to run their shop during the day.
Dungeon exploration includes stealth tools and abilities such as Coinbeetles, Nap Traps, and Smoke Mimic, along with hidden areas, enemy manipulation, and environmental hazards. Players can also build different playstyles through talent trees, including movement-focused, trick-based, and more direct approaches.
Shopkeeping and persuasion mechanics
Loot gathered during dungeon runs can be sold in Vyke’s shop through a dice-based persuasion system. Players roll dice and match them with sales techniques to increase a customer’s persuasion value and improve sale prices.
The shop side also includes collectible displays, inventory management, and decisions about whether to use items for survival or save them for profit.
Franchise growth and employee recruitment
As players progress, they can recruit employees with different traits and expand their business through additional franchises. The game’s story follows Vyke as he rises from debt to become a black market tycoon, drawing attention from groups such as the Adventurers’ Guild, a mysterious organization, and eventually the Demon King.
According to the announcement, the game passed 55,000 demo downloads during the latest Steam Next Fest and entered the top 1000 most-wishlisted games on Steam.
