Kwalee and Galaxy Grove have announced Steam to Electric, a railway management game coming to PC via Steam in 2026. The new title comes from the creators of Station to Station and Town to City, focusing on building and optimizing railway networks across a growing world.
Players will transport passengers and goods, connect industries and cities, and guide their railway empire from the age of steam into electric rail.
A Railway Tycoon Built Around Real Train History
Steam to Electric lets players unlock more than 25 real historical trains, including unusual inventions that were actually built and used. The game will feature experimental designs like jet-powered trains and single-rail gyro-balanced trains, giving players access to railway concepts rarely seen in games.
Each new vehicle, wagon, station, and rail type expands the network and opens new strategic options.
Build, Optimize, and Expand
The game is built around transport tycoon systems, asking players to manage production chains, switches, signals, passenger routes, and freight deliveries. As towns grow into busier hubs, players will need to refine routes and make long-term investment decisions to keep the railway running well.
Steam to Electric also includes a sandbox mode for players who want a more open-ended building experience.
Coming to Steam in 2026
Steam to Electric uses voxel art with an Art Deco influence, aiming for a clean industrial look as rail lines, stations, and towns expand. The game is designed to be easy to start while leaving room for deeper planning and optimization.
Steam to Electric launches on PC via Steam in 2026.
