The Player Who Can’t Level Up Demo Is Available Now on Steam

Tripearl Games and Smilegate have released the first playable demo for The Player Who Can’t Level Up on Steam, giving players an early look at the upcoming action roguelite based on the hit webtoon and web novel series. The demo arrives alongside a new gameplay trailer and offers a first hands-on sample of the game before it enters Steam Early Access in Q3 2026.

The game adapts the story of Kim Kigyu, a Player who awakens but remains stuck at Level 1 for five years, building power in other ways as he fights through the tower.

A New Action Roguelite Based on the Webtoon

The Player Who Can’t Level Up reworks the series into a 3D action roguelite, combining repeat runs, randomized progression, and stylish combat. In the demo, players step into a previously unseen story tied to Another Tower, offering a new scenario not featured in the original webtoon.

The demo includes access to the game’s first themed area, Pantheon, along with an early look at its progression systems and combat structure. Players will fight using Kigyu’s Ego Swords, LU, and EL, in a system built around timing-based action and build variety.

Demo Highlights Combat, Boss Fights, and Build Variety

The demo is designed to show off the game’s core loop, with roguelite progression tied to randomized Ego Shards and Blessings that shape each run. A boss fight against Erebor serves as the demo’s major encounter, while the overall structure pushes replayability through changing strategies and different build combinations.

Tripearl says the game is built to balance simple controls with room for skill expression, aiming for flashy combat without overloading players with inputs. The broader design also avoids punishing permadeath, letting players keep progressing from run to run.

Early Access Starts in Q3

The full game is scheduled to launch in Steam Early Access in Q3 2026, with a full release planned for the first half of next year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Based on one of the larger webtoon properties in circulation, The Player Who Can’t Level Up is now playable for the first time through its new Steam demo.
