Effort Star and Joystick Ventures have announced that Enter the Chronosphere will now launch into Steam Early Access on May 25, 2026. The tactical bullet hell was previously set for May 14, but the team has shifted the date after Subnautica 2 landed on the same day.
The game will still be priced at $14.99 during Early Access.
A Tactical Bullet Hell Where Time Moves With You
Enter the Chronosphere is built around a stop-and-start combat system where nothing moves unless the player moves. Bullets hang in the air, enemies pause mid-action, and players can take time to plan before acting.
Once the player moves, shoots, reloads, dodge rolls, or uses an ability, everything else moves at the same time. The result mixes bullet hell pressure with turn-based tactical planning.
Biomes, Characters, and Procedural Runs
The Early Access version will feature five biomes, each with its own weapons, gear, bosses, and challenges. Players can choose from characters including Marcia, Urtar, and Lillypilly, with additional abilities and options unlocking as they play.
Each run begins with a choice between three procedurally generated chronospheres, each offering different missions and modifiers. Players can also unlock new abilities, threats, and secrets in the between-run hub, The Starseer.
