SYBO and Rovio have announced a new collaboration between Subway Surfers and Angry Birds 2, bringing limited-time crossover content to both mobile games. The partnership begins as part of Subway Surfers’ 14th anniversary celebration and will continue later with Angry Birds 2 crossover events.
The Subway Surfers side of the event launches May 11, 2026, as part of the upcoming Super Runners update.
Subway Surfers Celebrates 14 Years in Copenhagen
For its anniversary event, Subway Surfers is heading to a futuristic version of Copenhagen, the home of SYBO. The Super Runners update gives the crew superhero-themed looks as they race through a neon-lit city.
As part of the Angry Birds crossover, players will be able to unlock and run as Red and Chuck. The update will also include new characters, outfits, hoverboards, collectible items, and themed event content.
Angry Birds 2 Gets Subway Surfers Content
Angry Birds 2 will also receive Subway Surfers content through two limited-time events. The Subway Surfers Spell lets players at level 13 or higher grind through pig fortresses in Saga levels, while The Swag Adventure brings Subway Surfers-themed hats to the Tower of Fortune.
The crossover will also include themed backgrounds, key art, and a special event coin that mixes the two franchises.
Free-to-Play Crossover Starts May 11
Subway Surfers and Angry Birds 2 are both free to download on iOS, Android, and other supported platforms with in-app purchases. The Subway Surfers crossover event begins May 11, with the Angry Birds 2 Swag Adventure event coming later.
