Eclipse Glow Games has announced that Tides of Annihilation will receive its first hands-on event this summer, giving players their first chance to try the game’s Neo-Medieval combat.
The studio says dates, locations, and platform requirements for the hands-on event will be shared later through official channels.
Technical Showcase Details Visual Upgrades
Alongside the hands-on announcement, Eclipse Glow Games released a new behind-the-scenes technical video showing how the team is improving visuals and performance in response to feedback from the game’s 2025 showings at State of Play and Xbox Partner Preview.
Producer Kun Fu said the team is focused on improving visual fidelity while also optimizing across different hardware setups.
Unreal Engine and NVIDIA Collaboration
Eclipse Glow Games is working with Unreal Engine and NVIDIA engineers on performance and stability. Unreal Engine China Technical Director Wei Liu said the teams have analyzed CPU and GPU bottlenecks and refined animation and gameplay logic pipelines to reduce overhead.
The team is also using Unreal Engine’s Nanite-based setup for Giant Knights, with automated collision and shadow optimization designed to maintain visual fidelity during high-speed movement.
DLSS, Path Tracing, and Driver Optimization
NVIDIA is supporting the project with performance analysis and driver-level optimization. Tides of Annihilation will also support DLSS and path tracing, aiming to deliver smoother performance across a wider range of PC hardware.
Tides of Annihilation is in development for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
