The latest Grim Trials trailer has revealed the release date for the upcoming heavy metal action rogue-like — and it’s not all that far off.
Grim Trials is set to release for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam on August 20. It’s worth noting that the game has been noted to be optimized for Xbox Handheld and Steam Deck, so players who prefer to play portably will be able to fully enjoy the game on their preferred handheld.

What is Grim Trials about?
“Play as Avelin, a young woman who has met an untimely end, and found herself recruited as one of Death’s many Reapers,” reads the game’s official synopsis. “Tasked to hunt down impure souls, face her demons, and fight her way through an underworld of her own making, Avelin must endure these trials to become a full-fledged Reaper and see her still-living love once again.”
