Daybreak Game Company and Cold Iron Studios have released a new Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 co-op showcase trailer, giving players a closer look at the sequel’s four-player Colonial Marine action.
The game launches August 25 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is planned for this fall.
Four Marines Against the Xenomorphs
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 sends up to four players into hostile corners of the Alien setting as Colonial Marines.
The new trailer focuses on squad coordination, class abilities, and escalating firefights as Xenomorphs swarm through corridors, attack from darkness, and push players into survival-focused battles.
Specialist Class and Smarter Enemies
The sequel adds deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class.
Players will need to adjust as encounters shift from tense standoffs to large fights, using class roles and loadouts to keep the team alive.
Editions and 40th Anniversary DLC
The Digital Standard Edition will launch for $49.99.
The Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 – 40th Anniversary Premium Edition will launch the same day for $69.99. It includes the base game and DLC content inspired by the broader Alien series.
Players who buy the Digital Standard Edition can also get the 40th Anniversary Premium Edition Upgrade for $19.99.
The included DLC features Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack, which adds an Ellen Ripley-inspired outfit, a modified pulse rifle, decals, and extra customization items. It also includes Herk’s Mondo Pest Pack, with an outfit, modified pulse rifle, decals, and other cosmetic items inspired by the comic-book hero.
Alien: Romulus Pack Also Coming
The Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack will be available for all editions on August 25 for $9.99.
The pack brings Alien: Romulus content into Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 with a modified Cryo weapon, Colony outfit, traits, perks, augments, decals, and colorways inspired by Marie Raines “Rain” Carradine.
