Amazon Game Studios and Crystal Dynamics have released the sixth Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis mini-documentary, this time focused on combat and progression.
The episode looks at how Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog are updating Lara Croft’s 1996 debut for modern players while keeping her acrobatic action at the center.
Focus Slows the Action Down
The biggest combat addition shown in the episode is Focus.
Players build the Focus meter by taking damage, dealing damage, dodging attacks, and staying active in fights. Once charged, Focus lets Lara slow down time and pull off moves tied to her acrobatic roots.
Game Director Raul Siqueira said the team wanted to give players a way to celebrate the movement and combat style Lara had in the original game.
Weapons Offer Different Combat Styles
The mini-doc also covers several weapons Lara will use during the adventure.
That includes her dual pistols, along with other tools built around different combat roles. Each weapon gives players a different way to counter enemies and handle encounters.
Crafting and Progression Teased
The episode also teases the game’s skill tree progression and crafting for the first time.
Amazon Game Studios and Crystal Dynamics haven’t shared every detail yet, but the footage points to more player choice in how Lara develops across the campaign.
