Veil of Madness Demo Now Available on Steam

Wandering Wizard and Stormling Studios have released a new Veil of Madness demo on Steam, giving players an early look at the upcoming first-person psychological horror deckbuilder.

The demo arrives alongside a new trailer focused on exploration, card-based combat, and the game’s Lovecraftian tone.

Enter a Patient’s Mind

Veil of Madness puts players in the role of a doctor who enters the mind of a patient trapped in a coma.

What starts as a medical case turns into something stranger, as reality, memory, and nightmare begin to collapse around the player.

Card Combat Meets Horror

The game mixes first-person exploration with deck-building combat.

Players collect cards, upgrade abilities, and manage inventory items to survive encounters with dangerous creatures. Some cards can be found in hidden areas, while others come from quests and character interactions.

Trailer Uses R’lyehian

The new trailer features voiceover and captions entirely in R’lyehian, the fictional language tied to Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos.

It gives the footage a strange, ritual-like feel while showing off the game’s combat, investigation, and surreal spaces.
