Monochrome and Good Smile Company have announced Ignisphere, a new IP led by Unicorn Overlord director Takafumi Noma, with action RPG Dawngazer serving as its first game.
Ignisphere Studio, led by Noma, is currently developing Dawngazer, while Good Smile Company will publish the title. A teaser video introducing the setting has also been released.
Dawngazer Begins the Ignisphere Project
Ignisphere is the name of both the new fictional universe and the development studio led by Noma.
The setting features numerous nations and races, with Monochrome and Good Smile Company planning to expand the IP across games and other media.
Noma previously worked as a programmer on several games before directing Unicorn Overlord, where he contributed to development areas including its story and character design.
Dawngazer will continue his hands-on approach as an action RPG, though gameplay details, platforms, and a release window remain unannounced.
Unicorn Overlord Composer Yoshimi Kudo Returns
Yoshimi Kudo will compose music for Dawngazer.
Kudo’s previous credits include Unicorn Overlord and Elden Ring. Kudo composed and arranged the music featured in the Ignisphere teaser.
Kocho handled vocals and singer coordination, with Kocho, Sak., and Maki Takimoto providing vocals. Wataru Mukai performed cello.
Ignisphere Will Expand Beyond Games
Good Smile Company will handle merchandising opportunities for Ignisphere, including potential figures and other products.
Multiple light novel projects are also in development with Kadokawa’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint.

Takafumi Noma Discusses Dawngazer Development
Dengeki Online and Famitsu have also published a new interview with Noma.
The interview covers the creation of Ignisphere and development stories surrounding Dawngazer.
An official Ignisphere X account has also launched and will provide future updates on the IP and its first game.
Dawngazer is currently in development as an action RPG. No release date or platforms have been announced.
