Wizards of the Coast is bringing Magic: The Gathering back to its DIY roots with Secret Lair x MSCHF: The Zeta Set, a randomized release inspired by the photocopied playtest cards used before the game’s 1993 launch. Created with MSCHF, the set features 121 cards with three retro visual treatments—Photocopy, Photocopy Negative, and Color Banding—and arrives in a sealed envelope designed to resemble early playtest materials.
Secret Lair x MSCHF: The Zeta Set includes 1 Zeta Booster. Each Zeta Booster contains the following:
- 7 Magic: The Gathering cards
- 3 Common cards
- 2 Uncommon cards
- 1 Wildcard of any rarity
- 1 Rare or mythic rare card
The Zeta Set goes on sale September 2 at 9 a.m. PT through the Secret Lair Chaos Vault for $19.92 per seven-card booster, with a limit of 12 per customer while supplies last.
