Ratata Arts and Game Source Entertainment have detailed the Ratatan 1.0 launch, which arrives October 15 with Chapters 3 and 4, the final area, and the game’s ultimate boss.
Digital pre-orders are also open now for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S with a 10% discount through launch.
Chapters 3 and 4 Complete the 1.0 Story
The October update brings Ratatan’s Early Access period to its 1.0 release.
Chapters 3 and 4 will introduce the final area and ultimate boss, while all previously introduced Dark Ratatans will come together as the story reaches its conclusion.
Detailed update notes covering added features and quality-of-life changes will arrive the day before launch.
Live Orchestra Tracks Join the Game
The development team has also completed the live orchestral recording previously promised to players.
Those recordings will be added to Ratatan as part of the 1.0 update, though the team is keeping the new music’s placement under wraps.
Console Pre-Orders Are Open
The Standard Edition normally costs $34.99 but is available for $31.49 during pre-order.
The Deluxe Edition drops from $39.99 to $35.99 and includes the game, Special Weapon & Accessory Pack, Cobun Pack, and Supplies Set.
Both editions include the Spirit Sword Banbansord, a legendary weapon, as an early-purchase bonus.
Steam Early Access owners will receive the weapon automatically when 1.0 launches, while the Deluxe Edition DLC will be sold separately on Steam starting October 15.
Ratatan Returns to Tokyo Game Show
Ratatan will also appear at Tokyo Game Show 2026 at the Game Source Entertainment booth in Hall 2, Booth 02-N02.
Visitors can play the game at demo stations and receive limited giveaways while supplies last. Completing certain booth conditions can also earn players a randomized Limited Edition Ratatan ID Card.
Ratatan launches its 1.0 version on October 15, 2026.
