Koei Tecmo surprised Attack on Titan fans at yesterday’s Summer Game Fest showcase by dropping the reveal trailer for Attack on Titan 3 — the latest entry in the high-flying anime action game based on Hajime Isayama’s massively popular manga.
Though the previous two Attack on Titan games from Omega Force only covered specific arcs of the series, Attack on Titan 3 promises to adapt the entire series, from the Fall of Shiganshina arc to the War for Paradis arc. Additionally, the press release for the announcement promises “brand-new story content” and upgrades to the sleek omni-directional mobility system that the series is known for.
Though no release date was provided, it was announced that the game is in development for the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. More information on the sequel is set to be revealed in an official livestream that’ll feature special guests Yui Ishikawa and Shiori Mikami — the voices of Mikasa and Krista, respectively.

When did the games before Attack on Titan 3 come out?
Omega Force’s Attack on Titan originally released in 2016 and covered the events of the first season of the smash-hit anime. Its sequel, Attack on Titan 2, was released in 2018 and adapted both the first and second season of the anime, with a Final Battle DLC later being added that covered the series’ third season.
