Frogwares has opened pre-orders for The Sinking City 2, the studio’s Lovecraftian survival horror game launching August 18, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The announcement also comes with a new gameplay trailer, edition pricing, pre-order bonuses, and current PC specs.
Three Editions Revealed
The Sinking City 2 will launch with three editions. The Standard Edition costs $49.99 and includes the base game plus the Chthonic Arsenal pack, which adds the Shale Mary handgun, Breakwater shotgun, and Tektite Tommy SMG.
The Deluxe Edition costs $54.99 and adds the Arkham Field Kit, which includes three outfits, three Dream Essence items for early Talent access, and a resource pack with ammo, healing, and crafting supplies.
The Premium Edition costs $59.99 and includes everything above, plus Holloway Manor and 24-hour early access. Holloway Manor is a bonus mission set inside an occult family estate outside Arkham. Completing it unlocks the Bucking Bronco revolver for use in the main game.
A Lower Launch Price
Frogwares Publishing Director Sergiy Oganesyan said the team chose the $49.99 standard price to keep the game below the current survival horror going rate.
He also noted that The Sinking City 2 has been the studio’s most ambitious project, built while the team worked remotely across Ukraine and beyond. Frogwares recently moved the project to Unreal Engine 5.8 to take advantage of expected performance gains.
PC Specs Confirmed
The current minimum specs target 1080p at 30 FPS on Low settings. Players will need Windows 11, an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, 16 GB RAM, a GTX 1070 or RX 5700 with 8 GB VRAM, DirectX 12, and 70 GB of SSD storage.
The recommended specs target 1440p at 60 FPS on Balanced settings. Frogwares lists Windows 11, an Intel Core i5-14600K or AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, 32 GB RAM, an RTX 4070 Ti or RX 7900 XT with 12 GB VRAM, DirectX 12, and 70 GB of SSD storage.
Return to Arkham
The Sinking City 2 takes place in a flooded 1920s version of Arkham. Players take on the role of Calvin Rafferty, an occult adventurer trying to save his girlfriend Faye after a ritual leaves her trapped in a strange sleep.
The city is filled with decaying apartments, abandoned hospitals, flooded markets, and monsters known as the Slither, which twist the dead into hostile puppets.
The Sinking City 2 launches August 18 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
