King Art Games has released two new Battlefield Report videos for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, giving players a closer look at how the game’s four multiplayer factions handle battle.
Creative Director Jan Theysen and Senior Game Designer Elliott Verbiest face off in two 1v1 matches, showing the different playstyles behind the Space Marines, Orks, Adeptus Mechanicus, and Necrons.
Adeptus Mechanicus vs. Necrons
The latest Battlefield Report focuses on the Adeptus Mechanicus and Necrons.
The Adeptus Mechanicus rely on their Noosphere Network, defensive positions, and superior technology to lock down territory and build punishing firing lines. The faction appears built for players who like structure, setup, and control.
The Necrons take a much different approach. They advance their Power Matrix across the battlefield, recover through resurrection, and keep pressure on opponents through relentless forward movement.
Space Marines vs. Orks
The previous Battlefield Report showed Space Marines clashing with Orks.
Space Marines focus on discipline, adaptability, and direct firepower. They can erase enemy forces with strong positioning and heavy attacks, making them a solid fit for players who want durable, flexible units.
Orks thrive on momentum. If they get room to grow, their numbers and aggression can snowball into a massive threat that overwhelms more controlled armies.

King Art Games also confirmed Year One plans, including free updates with Crusade Mode, new maps, modes, Commanders, and the Mission Editor.
