Wolcen Studio has released a new roadmap for Gods, Death & Reapers, outlining upcoming playtest features as the team moves toward Steam Early Access.
The Dark Fantasy ExtrAction RPG has already gone through multiple playtests, with Wolcen Studio using community feedback to shape combat, loot, social systems, and future Closed Alpha builds.
Party Play Is Coming
One of the biggest additions on the roadmap is the Party System, which will let players form duos and trios.
The update will also add 2v2 and 3v3 arenas, giving Reapers new ways to test their builds against other players. Friend Management is also planned, giving players a better way to group up and stay connected across tests.
Asgard and New Tracking Systems
Future playtests will introduce Asgard, a new map inspired by mythology.
Players will also get to test the Enemy Player Tracking mechanic, which should make rival Reapers a larger part of each run. Wolcen Studio is also working on improved loot distribution, along with other tuning based on playtest data.
Extraction Meets Action RPG Combat
Gods, Death & Reapers mixes PvP extraction stakes with PvE encounters and ARPG-style real-time combat.
Players start each mission from the Sanctuary, a customizable base used for planning, upgrades, crafting, and resource management. From there, Reapers enter dangerous mythological regions, take on objectives, fight enemies or rival players, and decide when to extract with their rewards.
Failing means losing what you brought into the run.
More Playtests Ahead
Wolcen Studio says more news on future playtests will arrive soon. Players can sign up through the Wolcen Studio Playtest Program, and anyone who joined earlier tests will keep access to future Closed Alpha builds.
Gods, Death & Reapers is coming to Windows PC via Steam Early Access.
