Palia’s Sunkissed Summer: Beauty and the Beach update is available now, closing out the game’s summer content series with fairytale decor, partnered dancing, bug-catching events, ranch animals, cosmetics, and quality-of-life changes.
The update adds the Lunar Path: Path of the Briar, the Great Shimmerfly Migration, the return of Insect-a-Palooza, and the new Duo Dance feature.
Path of the Briar Brings Fairytale Rewards
The new Lunar Path: Path of the Briar adds storybook-themed cosmetics, decor, and special items.
Players can earn rewards like the Umbral Wings potion, which briefly grants Shadow Wings, and the Alchemists’ Goggles, which add a Grimalkin-themed visual effect.
Shimmerflies and Bug Scouts Take Over Kilima
The Great Shimmerfly Migration is now active for a limited time. Players can catch Star Quality Shimmerflies to decorate housing plots, with a chance to earn a Shimmerfly Plush.
A new Bulletin Board quest also lets players help Auni prove Kilima has the best Bug Scouts. Tasks include catching Shimmerflies, gathering flowers, making bug-catching snacks, and helping with farm chores. Completing the board unlocks the Shimmerfly Garden recipe.
Insect-a-Palooza also returns from August 17-24, letting players work together to catch insects and earn rewards.
Duo Dance Arrives
Palia now lets two players dance together with the Heart of Gold Duo Dance emote, featuring music by Steffen Schmidt and Amanda Achen.
Each dancer has their own choreography based on work from real dancers. If one player wears the full Briar’s Grace outfit and the other wears the full Bestial Formality outfit, the dance unlocks the song’s vocal performance.
Ranching, Plushes, and Quality-of-Life Changes
Players can now unlock Flutterhoney at Ranching Level 10 in the Amber Echo Store to attract Flutterfoxes, which produce Silky Fluff as an alternative to Silk Thread.
The Phoenixfire Riffroc has also arrived, producing grilled foods. The Open-Minded trait is now available for Riffrocs and Phoenixfire Dawnspurs.
New plushes include Royal Frogbert, Shimmerfly Plush, and Princess Ladybug. Palia also added Mane Character Energy Art, new Pride tints at Tish’s shop, and a Friend List upgrade that raises the cap to 250 people.
The Temple of Gale has also been adjusted with new quest markers, clearer objectives, lower progression requirements, and bug fixes.
