Panache Digital Games has announced that 1666: Amsterdam will launch in Early Access on August 25 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The Early Access version will be priced at $29.99, giving players their first major hands-on look at the story-led action-adventure from Patrice Désilets’ studio.
New Gameplay Feature Released
To mark the date announcement, Panache has released a new Gameplay Feature focused on the systems players will use as Noa and Aaron.
The video shows the game’s investigation mechanics, combat, day-and-night cycle, Noa’s mystical abilities, and Aaron’s feline gameplay.
Hunting the Originals
1666: Amsterdam follows Noa, heir to the Zaindaris, and Aaron, a man pulled 300 years into the past and trapped in the body of a cat.
Together, the two hunt the mysterious Originals throughout Amsterdam, using their distinct skills to uncover hidden truths and restore balance.
Two Protagonists, Different Skills
Noa appears to handle the game’s more direct powers and combat tools, while Aaron’s cat form opens up a different side of exploration and investigation.
The new feature shows how the two characters work together, with each one bringing abilities that help players read the city, follow clues, and deal with threats.
