Ubisoft has announced Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake, a new version of the turn-based strategy classic launching in 2027.
The remake is coming to Ubisoft+, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, and PC via Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
Erathia Returns in 3D
Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake is rebuilt in Ubisoft’s Snowdrop engine.
The remake replaces the original fixed 2D isometric view with 3D visuals, free camera control, 4K support, dynamic lighting, real-time weather, and shifting seasons. Ubisoft says the goal is to update Erathia’s biomes and battlefields while keeping the original game’s strategy structure intact.
Original Campaigns and Expansions Included
The remake includes the full original game, plus Armageddon’s Blade and The Shadow of Death.
All nine factions and original campaigns are included, with the story now presented as one continuous experience. Ubisoft is also adding a new prologue campaign and new cinematics to help new players get started.
Turn-Based Strategy With New Tools
Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake keeps the core mix of hero progression, grid-based tactical battles, kingdom management, and exploration.
Ubisoft is adding quality-of-life updates, planning tools, and decision-making features to make the game easier to read without cutting out the strategy that defined the 1999 release.
Multiplayer, Hot Seat, and UGC
Players can play solo or with up to eight players through a revamped online mode.
The remake will include improved matchmaking, simultaneous turns, and the return of Hot Seat mode. Ubisoft also confirmed compatibility with thousands of player-made maps and campaigns from the past 25 years.
Updated editor tools and a new in-game UGC hub will help players find, download, and share community content.
Original Complete Edition Hits Steam
Alongside the remake announcement, Ubisoft released Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete on Steam for the first time.
