Telltale and PM Studios have announced that The Wolf Among Us Remastered will launch digitally on October 29, 2026.
The definitive edition adds an all-new Noir Mode, bringing Bigby Wolf’s first case into a black-and-white presentation inspired by classic detective films.
Noir Mode Comes to Fabletown
Noir Mode makes its debut in The Wolf Among Us Remastered.
The mode recasts Fabletown in monochrome, leaning further into the game’s mystery, crime drama, and moral tension. It gives returning players a different way to revisit Bigby’s investigation while keeping the original story intact.
Bigby’s First Case Returns
Based on Bill Willingham’s FABLES comic series, The Wolf Among Us follows Bigby Wolf, Sheriff of Fabletown, as he investigates a murder that threatens to expose fairy tale characters hiding in 1980s Manhattan.
The story unfolds across five episodes: Faith, Smoke & Mirrors, A Crooked Mile, In Sheep’s Clothing, and Cry Wolf.
Upgraded for Current Platforms
The remaster keeps the original game’s choice-driven storytelling, cast, and detective drama while updating its presentation.
Players can expect upgraded visuals, refined character and environment work, an updated user interface, improved animation and audio, higher resolutions, and smoother performance.
Bonus Content Included
The Wolf Among Us Remastered includes over an hour of bonus material about the making of the original game.
That content includes cast interviews, playable deleted scenes, and behind-the-scenes features.
Digital Launch Set for October 29
The Wolf Among Us Remastered launches digitally on October 29 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. It will also be playable on Xbox Series X|S through backward compatibility.
The release marks the franchise’s Nintendo debut. Physical editions will follow in Q1 2027.
With The Wolf Among Us 2 planned for 2027, the remaster gives players a clear way to catch up before Bigby’s story continues.
