Capcom has revealed that Teostra will return in Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, the upcoming expansion launching in 2027.
An extended trailer also showed more of the expansion, while producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Takuro Hiraoka shared new details on the Boost Bracer and several gameplay improvements.
Teostra Returns
The fire-breathing Elder Dragon Teostra will be one of the monsters hunters face in Ascendance.
Capcom showed the returning monster in the extended version of the latest trailer, adding another major hunt to the expansion’s roster.
Boost Bracer Changes the Action
Tsujimoto and Hiraoka also provided more information on the Boost Bracer.
The new system is designed to expand combat options and give hunters another way to approach fights throughout Ascendance.
Faster Weapon Swapping
Several quality-of-life changes are also planned.
Players will be able to swap weapons more quickly without needing a Seikret mount. Players can also change equipment outside the tent through the Item Box.
These improvements will apply to both Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance and the base Monster Hunter Wilds game.
Ascendance Arrives in 2027
Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance launches in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
Monster Hunter Wilds itself comes to Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4, 2026. Physical pre-orders are available now, with digital pre-orders opening October 19.
