Pigeons at Play and Devolver Digital have announced that Mycopunk will leave Steam Early Access and launch for PlayStation 5 on October 20 for $14.99.
The squad-based co-op shooter will reach version 1.0 with new weapons, grenades, maps, modes, another playable character, and, naturally, hats.
Fight a Fungal Threat on New Atlas
Mycopunk sends players to the surface of New Atlas as part of a cleanup crew fighting a mysterious fungal infestation.
Teams equip advanced weapons and combat technology before heading into missions packed with enemy hordes.
Damaging enemies can also create another problem. Some foes can collect pieces blasted from other enemies and use them to become larger and stronger.
Build Ridiculous Sci-Fi Weapons
Weapon customization centers on a grid-based upgrade system.
Players can modify their arsenal and combine upgrades with character abilities to create different team builds.
Coordinating those abilities and weapon configurations becomes a major part of handling enemy groups during co-op missions.
Hang Out in the H.U.B.
Between missions, players return to the H.U.B., an orbital dropship filled with games, toys, secrets, and other activities.
The space serves as a break between combat missions while giving squads another place to spend time together.
Version 1.0 Adds More Content
The October 20 update will add guns, grenades, modes, maps, a new character, and additional cosmetic options.
Devolver Digital says a fuller breakdown of the 1.0 content will arrive closer to release.
Mycopunk hits version 1.0 on PC via Steam and launches for PlayStation 5 on October 20. The PS5 version will also be available through PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium.
