007 First Light Free DLC Adds New Game+, 00 Difficulty, and Photo Mode

007 First Light is giving Bond another round of assignments. IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have released the free Extended Operations DLC, adding New Game+, a harder 00 difficulty setting, Photo Mode, and new TacSim missions.

The update is available now, October 1, with improved weapon-handling animations and a new hazard for Bond near ledges.

New Game+ Lets You Bring Your Gadgets Back

Completing the campaign on any difficulty unlocks New Game+. You can replay from the beginning or any completed checkpoint while keeping access to your earned outfits and gadgets.

Finishing the campaign also opens 00 difficulty, which makes combat, stealth, and social encounters tougher. Enemies react faster to bodies and disturbances, some guards receive stronger replacements, and you can’t use gadgets within a guard’s line of sight.

Combat introduces two-hit kills, tighter parry and side-step timing, and reduced agency gains during fights. You can still use your outfits and gadgets in New Game+ on Easy, Normal, or Hard if you prefer a less punishing replay.

Aston Martin Valhalla Missions Join TacSim

Extended Operations adds four Valhalla Protocol missions set in the Slovakian Mountains. You’ll drive the Aston Martin Valhalla during daytime and nighttime challenges, using its campaign weaponry to destroy targets, earn time bonuses, and improve your results.

Bond also returns to The Pearl, the luxury resort in Vietnam, for a mission to retrieve classified documents from a guarded villa. The entire property, including its rooftop, forms part of the playable area. A redesigned interior provides additional opportunities for stealth.

TacSim now supports the main campaign’s full weapon arsenal, giving you more options across its missions.

Photo Mode Arrives, and Ledges Get More Dangerous

The new Photo Mode lets you pause the action and adjust character poses, camera position, lens settings, brightness, filters, backgrounds, and logos. You can also hide the interface to compose your shot.

Outside Photo Mode, IO Interactive has improved Bond’s weapon handling animations. Enemies can now throw him off ledges, too, bringing one of his own methods of dispatching opponents back around on him.

007 First Light and its free Extended Operations DLC are available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is scheduled for March 2027.
