Moomin: Midsummer Madness has released its first public Steam demo ahead of its November 12, 2026, launch. Developer Crossbridge Game Studios and publisher Shochiku Games are bringing the point-and-click adventure to PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 for $19.99.
Inspired by Tove Jansson’s 1954 novel Moominsummer Madness, the game follows Moomintroll and Little My after a flood leaves Moominvalley underwater.
Explore a Mysterious Floating Theatre
The pair finds a floating theatre that may hold a way to save their home. You’ll investigate through conversations, exploration, puzzles, and minigames as the story combines familiar scenes from the novel with new episodes.
Hand-drawn environments draw inspiration from Jansson’s original illustrations, depicting locations such as the Moominhouse and the theatre.
Swap Characters and Get Help With Puzzles
You can switch between characters and use their different traits to progress. A hint system offers assistance when you get stuck, supporting the game’s relaxed approach to puzzle-solving.
The Steam demo is available now. Moomin: Midsummer Madness launches November 12 on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
