Second Stone has released a public Steam demo as part of Steam Next Fest. Developer Skyward Entertainment and publisher Headup are following the game’s closed playtest with an introduction to its story, combat styles, and mechanics.
The action RPG follows Shiren, a young adventurer searching for his lost spirit guardian as two fractured dimensions approach a collision.
Fast Movement Meets Customizable Magic
Second Stone combines mobile combat with platforming and environmental puzzles. Shiren uses fluid movement and magic to fight through encounters and explore his surroundings.
Build customization centers on elemental stones. You can fuse them to create powers, then slot them into equipment to shape your combat style.
The demo offers an early look at those systems, along with the story that connects the game’s two settings.
Explore a Dark Mirror and Return to Your Village
The full adventure pairs its overworld with a dangerous mirror state, where rare artifacts let you strengthen Shiren.
Between expeditions, a village hub provides equipment upgrades, conversations, quests, and a dice-battler minigame.
Procedural labyrinth dungeons add repeatable roguelike challenges, with layouts that change each attempt and rare rewards.
You can find Second Stone and its demo on Steam.
