DreamWorks Shrek 2 Remastered brings the 2004 action-adventure back on November 10, 2026, with improved visuals and expanded multiplayer. Aspyr announced the remaster in collaboration with Universal for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Digital preorders are available now for $26.99, a 10% discount from the regular $29.99 price. PS5 players need a PlayStation Plus subscription to receive the preorder discount.
Play With Four Players Locally, Online, or Both
You can play solo or team up with up to three friends through local co-op, online multiplayer, or a combination of the two.
Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and friends travel from the swamp to Far Far Away, battling enemies and bosses along the way. You can swap characters on the fly across all platforms, using their different abilities to solve environmental puzzles and progress.
The adventure revisits moments from the film, with familiar characters and hidden Easter eggs throughout its levels.
Photo Mode and a Cheats Menu Join the Remaster
The updated presentation includes improved textures, an enhanced interface, and upgraded cutscenes.
Photo Mode lets you capture your adventures, while a new Cheats Menu provides cheats you can earn during play.
