Croak launches in March 2027 on Xbox and PC, with day-one Game Pass availability. Developer WoodRunner Games announced the release window during the ID@Xbox Showcase alongside a new trailer for its hand-drawn 2D platformer.
You play as the Frog Prince, whose stretchy tongue lets him grapple, climb, launch, and bounce through levels like a pinball.
Tongue-Grapple Through Platforming Puzzles
Croak combines movement challenges with puzzle-solving across dozens of increasingly dangerous stages. Learning how to use the Prince’s tongue is central to finding your route and maintaining momentum.
Multiple biomes contain coins, secrets, and demanding platforming sections. Additional ultra-hard levels offer a tougher test once you’ve mastered the basics.
The bosses are less conventional, including a beaver performing tricks on a BMX bike.
Hand-Drawn Animation From Cuphead and Rick & Morty Artists
The game features hand-drawn animation from artists whose previous work includes Cuphead and Rick & Morty.
Croak arrives on Xbox and PC in March 2027, including Game Pass at launch. You can wishlist it on Steam.
