Spirit Crossing launches November 16 on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Spry Fox, the studio behind Cozy Grove, Alphabear, and Triple Town, announced the date and Nintendo versions during Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase.
The cozy MMO centers on building a home and forming friendships in the Crosslands, where players can gather materials, decorate, fish, paint murals, or simply spend time together.
Friendships Open Up New Ways to Play Together
Spirit Crossing’s friendship progression system gradually introduces features as relationships develop. These include proximity chat, two-player emotes, gift-giving, and instant teleportation.
Players can also customize social permissions to control how they interact with others, rather than granting every friend the same access.
Build a Home or a Shared Waystation
Avatar customization offers plenty of ways to express your style, while building and decorating extend to both personal homes and shared community Waystations.
Beyond other players, the Crosslands is populated by humans, talking bears, and wandering spirits. Helping these residents and spending time with them reveals more of their stories.
Spry Fox co-founder and CEO David Edery said the team has spent five years developing the game around meaningful connections. The studio is now independent and employee-owned.
Spirit Crossing is available to pre-order on Switch and Switch 2 and to wishlist on Steam ahead of its November 16 release.
