Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam in summer 2027. The direct sequel to Dokapon Kingdom: Connect will launch simultaneously worldwide, marking a first for the series.
The RPG party game returns with expanded character customization, cooperative battles with potentially contentious rewards, and a new mode that puts powerful equipment in everyone’s hands from the start. An announcement trailer offers an early look at the sequel, while details about its physical and digital editions will follow later.
Team Up for Battles, Then Fight Over the Rewards
Like its predecessor, Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2 combines a role-playing adventure with a tabletop party-game structure. A fortunate turn can shift the balance between players, giving someone an advantage while leaving their friends looking for a chance to catch up.
The sequel adds large cooperative battles, but working together doesn’t necessarily mean everyone gets an equal payout. Players can share the rewards or hoard them, creating another opportunity for alliances to fall apart after the fighting ends.
Character customization is also expanding, with more options than the previous game. The announcement hasn’t detailed those choices yet, but customization is among the sequel’s main additions.
New Mode Starts Everyone With Powerful Gear
An additional mode lets every player begin at a high level with strong equipment. That changes the starting conditions from the outset, giving the whole group access to capable characters immediately.
Further information about how this mode works, along with the game’s release editions, is still to come. For now, the confirmed launch window is summer 2027 across all three platforms.
Thailand Game Show Appearance Begins October 29
Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2 will also appear at Thailand Game Show 2026 from October 29 through November 1. Visitors to the Japan Pavilion booth can watch the sequel’s trailer, play the original Dokapon Kingdom: Connect, and pick up a pin badge while supplies last.
The playable game at the booth is the original Connect, so attendees will get their hands on the earlier entry while checking out the sequel’s announcement.
