New Batman Now Dubbed Arkham City; New Villains Hinted

Warner Bros let loose the floodgates today with Game Informer’s reveal of its upcoming issue revealing the retitling of Batman Arkham Asylum II to Batman: Arkham City. In development at Rocksteady Studios, the cover image here shows our caped hero dripping with blood, hinting at some physical damage to be included in the game. It also marks the first appearance of Catwoman in the series, seen chained to Batman.

Arkham City will be charting its course for a Fall 2011 release on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC and it certainly peaked our attention this morning. With a rumored Robin appearance and IMDB listing voice over roles for Talia al Ghul, Mr. Freeze, The Riddler, and Harley Quinn – this all-star cast of villians and heroes alike has us excited for the months to come.

Props to Rocksteady Studios.
