Little Nightmares Sets Stage For a Demented Adventure

Bandai Namco announced Little Nightmares, an adventure game where players take the role of a little girl on a mission to escape from The Maw. Tarsier Studios aims to release the game by Spring 2017 in the Americas digitally through Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

Playing as “Six,” a little girl dressed in a yellow raincoat, Little Nightmares hopes to blur the lines between dreams and nightmares as they explore The Maw, a mysterious vessel filled with corrupted souls looking for their next target. Tarsier Studios combines a compelling storyline, sound design, and art-style all together to bring about chills and goosebumps.

“It’s taken us about 10 years to come to this moment, to reveal the most exciting game in our company history, a dark, thrilling tale of grotesque misfits!” said Andreas Johnsson – Business Developer & Deputy CEO at Tarsier Studios “Since publishing the teaser last year we’ve worked day and night to bring the game to life, and now, we are beyond excited to show our first original game at Gamescom, LITTLE NIGHTMARES.”

Tarsier Studios previously worked on LittleBigPlanet for the PS Vita, released in 2012. The studio is now working on original projects such as Little Nightmares and Statik, currently in development for Playstation VR. Little Nightmares marks the first original title from the studio.
