See the above picture? It shows off some Arcade visuals, what’s that? echochrome is on one of the screens? Totally weird, it’s supposedly a 2D version of it, not sure how that’ll play out, but it looks good.
Oh, and Namco classic arcade games! Four of which have been revealed – Dig Dug, Pac-Man, Xevious and Galaga! Isn’t that exciting? That means Home users can play all of these games for free, and three games are still secrets! Well that’s good news, the fact that they’ll be free to play to Home users, if it is in fact free.
Oh, and those in Japan getting into the Home Beta that launches in the end of August will get these nice Arcade games to play. You know what’s crazy? Those over on the Xbox 360 have to purchase these games. Interesting new feature for Home if it’s completely free, hopefully more classics are added as well!
Check out the Arcade games in the screenshots below!
I’m hoping that they’re free and worth it, not some sort of “demo” of the game after which you must purchase it. Home’s really shaping up, especially with it being said to not be a Social Network and more of a lobby for all games in which users can set up games and launch them from Home. Let’s hope that Home comes soon, but don’t rush it – we want quality too.
To check out how these games look and for some other screens, check out Famitsu, it’s in Japanese, but you’re really only looking for the pictures.
