NSR2 Reunites Bunkbed Junction for a Global Musical Tour in 2026

The stage is set, the amps are humming, and the tour bus is revving up. Metronomik and Shueisha Games have officially announced NSR2, the long-awaited sequel to the cult-hit rhythm-action game No Straight Roads. Revealed during Summer Game Fest 2025, NSR2 hits PC and consoles in 2026, and you can wishlist it on Steam right now.

The Band Is Back—and Bigger Than Ever

No Straight Roads fans will be thrilled to know that Mayday and Zuke are back and ready to rock, but this time, they’re not alone. NSR2 introduces two new playable band members, each bringing their own musical genre and unique combat mechanics into the spotlight. While details on the newcomers are still under wraps, the expanded lineup sets the stage for chaotic, genre-mashing battles.

“We’re taking everything players loved about the first No Straight Roads and turning it up to 11,” said Wan Hazmer, CEO and Game Director at Metronomik. “Expect incredible music, wacky bosses, and engaging, imaginative cities to explore on Bunkbed Junction’s rocketok tour across the globe!”

Rhythm and Combat Reimagined

NSR2 builds on the original’s rhythmic combat foundation while emphasizing fast-paced action, synchronized team attacks, and larger-than-life boss fights. The revamped combat system allows players to chain attacks between characters, timing each blow to the beat of a wildly diverse soundtrack.

Confirmed artists include returning favorites like James Landino, Falk Au Yeong, Garrett Williamson, newcomer Midas Klare (Inverted Silence), and surprise musical guests yet to be revealed.

From Vinyl City to the World Stage

While the first game was set entirely within the EDM-dominated Vinyl City, NSR2 takes the tour global. Players will guide Bunkbed Junction through a vibrant world tour, journeying across uniquely themed cities influenced by folk traditions, experimental jazz, underground rock, and digital pop culture.

Each location introduces not only its own musical style but also new rival performers, NPCs, and cultural quirks, expanding the universe of No Straight Roads like never before.

“NSR2 is the perfect fit for our publishing portfolio,” said Tomoya Tanaka, Global Marketing Manager at Shueisha Games. “With the Shueisha Group’s heritage in bringing unforgettable characters and worlds to life, we’re thrilled to help bring this explosive musical journey to fans worldwide.”

Rock Out in 2026

NSR2 will launch in 2026 for PC and console platforms. You can wishlist the game now on Steam, and keep up with development updates by following No Straight Roads on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook, or by visiting shueisha-games.com.
