Bandai Namco has released a new Towa Talk trailer for Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree, spotlighting the heart of its upcoming roguelite adventure: Shinju Village. Launching September 19 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, Towa blends fast-paced dungeon runs with a living hub world full of characters, upgrades, and personal stories.
A Village Worth Fighting For
In Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree, Shinju Village serves as more than just a base camp — it’s a fully realized home for your growing cast of Guardians. Between dungeon runs, players can interact with a colorful roster of townsfolk, each offering unique support.
There’s Kanro the chef, who prepares meals that give Guardians powerful buffs; Tanzo the blacksmith, who forges and upgrades sacred swords; and more villagers who unlock tools, upgrades, and story events. As you progress, the village evolves with you — transforming through player decisions and upgrades that shape both gameplay and narrative.
Don’t Miss the Coloring Contest
The Towa team is also reminding fans that the Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree Coloring Contest is still live — but time is running out. U.S. residents can enter for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind custom PC built by Blue Horse Studios, plus other prizes. Submit your design before the contest deadline on July 19.

Coming This Fall
Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree launches September 19 and looks to be one of the most visually striking and mechanically inventive indie action RPGs this year. With eight playable Guardians, beautifully illustrated landscapes, and a rich village backdrop, the game blends heart and hack-and-slash in equal measure.
