Koei Tecmo America and developer Omega Force have released a free playable demo of their upcoming fantasy hunting title Wild Hearts S, exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2. The demo offers players a hands-on look at the opening hours of the game and includes support for solo play and co-op with up to four hunters, either online or locally.
Wild Hearts S is set to fully launch on July 25, 2025, but Switch 2 users can dive in early with this expansive demo, now available for download via the Nintendo eShop.
Take on the Kemono with Karakuri in Tow
In the Wild Hearts S demo, players explore the early regions of Azuma, taking on towering, nature-infused beasts like the Ragetail, the corrosive Sapscourge, and the tusked monstrosity known as the Kingtusk. These larger-than-life creatures, known as Kemono, require teamwork, quick reflexes, and clever use of ancient technology to defeat.
The key to survival lies in Karakuri, the game’s unique deployable devices that can be used to build traps, platforms, and tools on the fly. With real-time crafting and dynamic weaponry, players will have plenty of ways to take down their prey.
Demo Progress Carries Over
Hunters who complete the demo will be able to carry over their progress into the full version of Wild Hearts upon release, allowing them to keep their hard-earned gear, resources, and story progression intact when the full game drops later this month.
Online play requires a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, but local multiplayer is also supported for seamless co-op on the go.
