Bandai Namco brought the hype to Evo 2025, delivering a barrage of Tekken 8 announcements — including the return of fan-favorite Armor King, the reveal of new original fighter Miary Zo, and the location of the Tekken World Tour 2025 Finals.
Armor King Returns October 16
The “Dark Supernova” is back. Armor King enters Tekken 8’s roster on October 16, with 72-hour early access beginning October 13 for players who own the Season 2 Character & Stage Pass or Season 2 Character Pass.
In his new gameplay trailer, Armor King shows off a fiery mane and an arsenal of explosive grapples, counters, and high-damage combos — cementing his status as one of the most intimidating competitors in the King of Iron Fist Tournament. His arrival pushes Tekken 8’s roster to 39 fighters.
Meet Miary Zo — Tekken 8’s First Original DLC Fighter
Also teased at Evo was Miary Zo, a completely new fighter hailing from Madagascar. She will join the roster in Winter 2025 as part of the final Season 2 DLC drop, accompanied by a new Madagascar-themed stage featuring the country’s distinctive architecture and towering baobab trees at sunset.
Bandai Namco promises more details on Miary Zo’s fighting style and abilities in the coming months.
