What if becoming a ruler meant surviving a televised death trap? Tea Witch Games and indie.io are bringing just that kind of high-stakes spectacle in Rogue Labyrinth, a chaotic action-narrative roguelite launching September 1, 2025, on Steam.
Set in the fractured homeland of Lantanas, the game stars Iris—a reluctant, sarcastic nomad roped into a deadly reality show created by egomaniac billionaire Echelon. The winner becomes the new Monarch of Lantanas. The losers? They don’t get a second season.
High-Paced Combat, With a Side of Sass
In Rogue Labyrinth, every fight is a combo of bullet-hell dodging, environmental mayhem, and creative carnage. Players can weaponize practically anything: chairs, rocks, knocked-out contestants—you name it. Iris’s combat toolkit expands with each run thanks to magical upgrades, ancient artifacts, and chaotic viewer-donated power-ups.
Combat isn’t the only star of the show. Over 4,000 lines of dialogue bring life to the game’s revolving cast of contestants, arena staff, and even hired monsters. Between battles, players can share meals, strike up rivalries, or uncover secrets buried deep in the labyrinth’s procedurally generated zones.
A Roguelite That Evolves With You
Rogue Labyrinth emphasizes accessibility while rewarding experimentation and mastery. There are no “correct” builds—only your ability to deflect chaos back at your enemies and adapt as the show unfolds. Each run changes public perception, reshapes Iris’s story, and affects her relationships. In other words: your audience is watching, and their votes matter.
The demo is available now on Steam, with hands-on previews planned at Gamescom and PAX West.
